Katya is Head of User Research at Preply that is shaping the future of effective learning! As a user research leader, she empowers teams with a user-centric approach that elevates business North Star Set. For the last 5 years, she’s been working in the IT-sphere, managing customer support and user research teams. Her presentation at UXDX is based on her experience with numerous problem-solving cases to better understand the types of research required for a company to grow. Over the past 3 years, Katya has completed accreditation by the Chartered Institute for IT according to the ISO9241 (International Standard in User Experience). And she was lucky to be mentored by Paul Harwood (ex-Chief of Research at Facebook). Katya is passionate about supporting and uplifting every member of the team. Her hope: That one day, the majority of Eastern European companies will be taking into account users’ perspective in all steps of the product development.
