Past Talks
In this talk, we aim to debunk common misconceptions about neurodiversity and draw attention to the challenges faced by approximately 15-20% of the population. These challenges can affect various cognitive functions such as memory, social cues, and focus. To help these individuals successfully complete tasks, it is necessary to provide diversity in learning styles, which means including neurodiversity in UX design.
We will use insights from the gaming industry to explore Neurodiversity Experience Heuristics, a GPT, Inclusive Design Metrics, and recruitment strategies. Additionally, we will introduce a model to evaluate an organization's commitment to neurodiversity. Ignoring neurodiverse inclusion in product design can lead to the alienation of a significant customer segment. Therefore, it is crucial to integrate neurodivergent perspectives for more inclusive and effective outcomes.
