Contextual user experience research application in Low resource settings

Erick Oduor, Ph.D., will speak about Contextual UX Research as an interdisciplinary framework that borrows from behavioural Science and social practices to inform product design in low-resource settings.

He will describe a process that includes UX for Concept generation, Prototyping and Personalization of Products.
Using an example of a marketplace product, Erick will also illustrate how we can use available platforms to scale technology beyond low-resource settings.

You'll learn:
* How to identify problems that technology could solve in low-resource settings.
* Type of approaches to apply and key components to think about when designing technology for these settings.
* Challenges around technology adoption in low-resource settings.
* Leveraging existing technology to scale low-resource contextual technology solutions.

E-Commerce on TV

TV is the biggest and most-watched screen in most homes, and technologies are making it possible for consumers to buy directly from brands in real time using their remote. This is uncharted territory from a UX perspective as we move users from a leaned-back experience with content viewing to a leaned-in one with shopping on TV. Let's walk through UX considerations to make this experience stunning and seamless.

Community is one part of how UXDX helps teams build better products.

Local events help people learn from peers and build their network. The reports, ebooks and knowledge library turn those conversations into practical ideas teams can apply.
