Swara Mehta is a Data Science Manager at Stripe. She leads the APAC data science efforts, and also focuses on DS initiatives for credit risk globally. Swara works with data science, engineering and product teams to help them make data driven decisions and build better products. Prior to Stripe, Swara was the Head of the Data Science Practice at GIC, the Machine Learning Lead at Grab and Tech Lead at Yahoo.
She has built data science solutions for many diverse domains like social media, ride hailing, investment management and payments. Swara holds a degree in Computer Science from USC.

There are many reasons why decentralised teams outperform their top-down counterparts. While there are many advantages decentralisation can provide, this panel will discuss different approaches within teams and when it doesn't work, along with ways to start experiencing the benefits of a decentralised team without the need to be disjoined.
