Experienced UX and service design director and new product and business developer with a strong track record in driving new innovation and leading multi-disciplinary design+technology+business teams. Harri's design leadership experience spans from international business to big company internal startups to small startups. Harri is a design thinking advocate following the “first we observe—then we design” principle, applying user research, design sprints, design systems, rapid prototyping, Lean UX, and Agile Portfolio Management. Originally a computer scientist, then broadened my interests and skills to AI and information visualization, computer graphics, human-computer interaction, UX & service design, cyber security & digital privacy, design strategy and leadership.
Harri was UX design director and product line director at F-Secure Corporation in 2010-19. In 2012–13 he built the first F-Secure internal startup, the Lokki location sharing mobile service. In 1995–2010 he did UX concept design, usability engineering, design management, and held various design director roles at Nokia in Finland & US. In 2006–07 Harri was leading UX design for Nokia's Ovi internet services. In 2008–10 Harri was leading the Nokia MeeGo UX design team of 70 designers on 3 continents. Harri built the Nokia company UX strategy in '02, '04, and '07.
Harri is a UX design advisor to Morelex.com (personalised multichannel B2B2C retail marketing solution) and Dokk.fi (sharing economy mobility-as-a-service MaaS marketplace), and co-founder of the Wooden Boat Co-op Finland, Puuveneosuuskunta.fi. In 2014–16 I was advisor to the EuropeanPioneers startup accelerator in Berlin. In 2017-19 I was design advisor and board member in Lääkärihinta.fi and Vaana.fi, developing a healthcare and social services solution for municipalities.
