David Hoang is a designer, investor, and writer focused on building software that revolutionizes the internet. Currently, he is VP of Design at Atlassian leading AI, Ecosystem, and DevAI. Previously, he was VP of Marketing and Design at Replit where he led Brand, DevRel, Product Design, and Research to empower the next billion software creators. He was also Head of Design at Webflow during their growth stage to scale both the team and the company's vision for a more expressive, accessible internet. Prior to that, he was Head of Product Design at One Medical during its transition to virtual care and IPO.
He writes a weekly newsletter called Proof of Concept, which focuses on experimentation in software, design, and entrepreneurship. He currently resides in Palm Springs and San Francisco, California.

How to work with AI There is a big UI shift away from menus towards more prompt focussed applications. What are the new patterns that teams need to learn? How to work if there is AI Copilot is writing 40% of the code that people write. Generative UI apps are able to create Figma editable mockups from prompts. How will the roles within a team shift when AI’s can start taking on more of the work.
