One day I realized I hadn’t opened Figma in weeks. I was surprised myself. I was skeptical this could happen so soon, but today most of my design work happens in Claude Code.

I’ll compare the workflow to Figma, share a few tricks for keeping AI output from turning into slop, and talk honestly about what I miss, what I don’t, and where I think we’re headed. This isn’t a manifesto, just my personal take after a decade as a product designer.

When everyone ships fast, including engineers, product, sales and AI, design can’t be the blocker. But users still expect quality and a personal touch in how their problems are solved. So how do you deliver both? Laura shares lessons from how her team works today.
