Innovation Lead
Andrew is currently an Innovation Lead at WorkSafe Victoria where he is responsible for managing a portfolio of products and services aimed at improving recovery outcomes for injured workers and the people who support them. He has 15+ years experience working across a diverse range of industries and teams (from niche agencies to large consultancies) and is passionate about the role good design can play in improving people’s lives.

Transformation within Gov
Most would agree that achieving a fundamental change in strategy and processes within Government is challenging. But with the potential impact Government has globally, many product professionals are seeing the value in taking on the challenge to make change. In this discussion, Andrew and Ruth will discuss both why they moved into the public sector on top of what they've learned along the way to fast-track their careers, improve team efficiency and work on digital transformation in the toughest sector.
Designing for the 25%
How might we design inclusive public services that are sensitive to the complexities of diverse needs and backgrounds? How do we ensure that people’s lived experience plays a pivotal role in the way we develop new products aimed at improving health outcomes and reducing harm? We don’t have all of the answers, but I will share what our team has learnt about navigating these complexities and elevating the role of design in the midst of a digital transformation.
