Matt is the director of design at SimpleHealth. He has over a decade of experience in design leadership, having previously worked on and with teams at The Wall Street Journal, SoundCloud, PepsiCo, GE, and Bank of America. Matt lives in Brooklyn and has a dog named Timothy.

Building a Service Focused Design Team

Matt Strom has spent the last few years of his career working on some of the best design teams. This has allowed him to develop an understanding of what works and what doesn't when it comes to service design-focused teams. When presented with the opportunity from Simple Health to build a design department from scratch, he jumped at the opportunity! In his session, Matt discusses how he built up a design team following his own org chart and some of the fantastic results that followed.
