Ismail is a design leader and entrepreneur with over a decade of experience that encompasses startups, scale-ups and corporations. He now leads design in CIMB Bank a regional bank headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Ismail has experience in building and leading teams of world-class designers, product managers, engineers. He believes the success of digital evolution is by tying together the user's need, technology's feasibility and business viability.
In 2017 VLT Labs, a venture builder he co founded that builds, launch and invests in startups across South East Asia, Australia and Europe successfully merged with McKinsey & Company. In McKinsey, Ismail leads design for Digital Labs in South-East Asia and delivered impact in the education, banking, insurance, energy and oil & gas sectors.
Founded UX Malaysia in 2012, Ismail has been actively building the digital design scene for the past decade.
