Lead Designer

Frances Sun is a Taiwanese UX/UI designer with more than 18 years of experience designing complex digital products across technology and entertainment. Her career has included work with global companies such as Lenovo, Dell, and The Walt Disney Company, spanning consumer products, enterprise platforms, and large-scale B2B systems.

Today, Frances focuses on enterprise UX and advertising technology, designing tools that help teams navigate complex workflows, data, and business processes. Her work has ranged from sales and advertising platforms to server configuration tools, PC support software, and cloud services.

Alongside her industry work, Frances began teaching UX/UI design at Austin Community College in 2020, covering UX/UI, visual design, and portfolio development. She is passionate about making complex systems more human—and showing designers that enterprise UX doesn’t have to be boring.

Infusing Enterprise Creativity with a Dose of Playfulness

Enterprise design—especially B2B—has a reputation for complexity, rigid workflows and interfaces that leave little room for creativity. But it does not have to be that way. Frances will share how she approaches complex enterprise design challenges and finds opportunities to introduce clarity, personality, surprise and just enough playfulness without sacrificing usability or business needs. The session challenges the idea that enterprise design has to be boring and shows how even highly complex B2B products can feel thoughtful, human and engaging.
