Propel Design

As a design leader, I get excited about working on complex, purpose-driven challenges. I help organisations take a human-centric approach to service transformation and help deliver impactful, pragmatic outcomes while building capability and leading teams through growth and change.

I co-founded Propel Design in late 2020 after 15 years of experience in service design, inclusive design, and product management across the private, non-for-profit, and public sectors in both the UK and Australia.

Propel is a strategic research and design consultancy that uses an evidence-based approach to help co-create strategies and solutions that are human-centred. At Propel we focus on improving decision making processes and driving value for organisations, their customers and their communities. I am currently working with the Department of Education, Skills and Employment to help deliver their New Employment Services Model; providing better, more user-friendly services to job seekers and employers.

I am particularly interested in policy and social design. After a stint in the Australian Public Service at the Digital Transformation Agency, where I lead the design and innovation lab, I fortunately got the opportunity to work as a senior policy adviser to the NSW Minister for Customer Service, Hon. Victor Dominello MP. With COVID-19 on the rise, I played a part in NSW’s response to the COVID pandemic, flexing my design leadership skills in a new, challenging, and important context. My time with Minister Dominello was invaluable to the development of my leadership skills.

In my spare time I enjoy throwing clay on a pottery wheel, deep sea diving and astrophotography. I am also learning to be a better minimalist, essentialist and an all round productivity guru!
