Amit Patil is a Sr. Design manager, father, poet and has been a UX professional for the last 13 years.
Currently he manages a team of designers in Bangalore working on products like Outlook Web, Bookings and Yammer at Microsoft.
Previously he has managed teams around workplace intelligence. Before Microsoft he has worked for companies like Honeywell Aerospace, IBM , Opera Mobile and multiple startups.
He is an alumnus of National Institute of Design and has also been an engineer early in his career.
As a visiting faculty he connects with students at NID Bangalore and is a member of the board of studies at MIT Design, Pune.
While trying his hand at publishing a few patents and papers, his interest lies in applying research within the industry.

How do you take away the bad reputation enterprise UX has accumulated over time ?
Work tools are important and getting their experience right has always been tricky with the complexity and multi stakeholder environments.
In his talk Amit shares some myths about enterprise UX which keep products away from making experiences exceptional, appropriate and delightful.
