From Survey Chaos to Prototype in 45 Minutes

Turn messy survey data into something you can actually act on. In this hands-on session, you'll use AI to organize raw responses into a mindmap, pull sharper insights from a Sidekick, and distill it all into a Flows doc with your top 10 user needs. Then you'll build a working prototype.

Raw data to design-ready output, one session, no busywork.

From Proximity to Intent: Designing Technology People Barely Notice

The best technology often feels like it is not there at all: the door opens, the right service appears, and the person can stay focused on what they came to do. But making an experience feel effortless usually requires hard product decisions behind the scenes.

Design to Align: Stopping the Stakeholder Swirl

Alignment isn’t just a soft skill — it’s the difference between shipping and stalling. This session gives designers practical frameworks to reduce swirl, structure feedback, and transform cross-team debates into forward momentum.

Beyond the Prompt: Measuring Whether AI Actually Helps Humans

Everyone wants to measure AI, but most teams are measuring the wrong things. Thumbs-up rates, response quality, latency, and benchmark scores tell us how an AI system performs—not whether it actually helps people accomplish meaningful work. Drawing from real-world enterprise AI research, this talk introduces a practical framework for evaluating AI experiences through a human-centered lens. It connects qualitative research, behavioral telemetry, and task-level outcomes to answer a deceptively simple question: Did the AI help the user achieve their goal?

The Invisible Interface: Building 0 to 1 Voice AI That Gets Out of the Way

What if your AI product was so invisible, people barely noticed it, but couldn’t imagine working without it? In this session, I’ll share real lessons from designing Wispr Flow from 0 to 1, a voice AI tool that quietly helps people get more done without adding friction. We’ll dig into practical ways to blend design and engineering, build trust through subtle interactions, and balance when your product should show up, and when it should stay hidden.

Community is one part of how UXDX helps teams build better products.

Local events help people learn from peers and build their network. The reports, ebooks and knowledge library turn those conversations into practical ideas teams can apply.
